Trump has ramped up efforts in his crusade against the corrupt media big wigs in this past week. First, he barred The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, Politico, BuzzFeed, the BBC and the Guardian from white house briefings and then he announced he would not attend the white house correspondents’ dinner. In a tweet on Saturday he said, “I will not be attending the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner this year. Please wish everyone well and have a great evening!” This double whammy of total apathy toward the fake news dealers has them kicking and screaming.
For months’ main stream outlets have slammed the president with false character attacks and misrepresentations of policy. From the verified false “dirty dossier” to laughable “meatloaf gate” these outlets have completely destroyed their credibility among everyday Americans. Some liberals have taken to twitter to cite this as proof that Trump is a “Fascist” only proving that they haven’t the slightest clue what a fascist really is. If these outlets wanted to be treated like everyone else, they should have reported the news fairly and accurately. The first amendment gives Americans freedom of speech, press and assembly; not freedom from consequences. Sure your allowed to lie your little butts off, misconstrue facts and take quotes out of context; But not do all that and still be respected as a creditable news source.
Since Trump won’t be attending the annual correspondent’s dinner many outlets have also decided not to attend, such as Bloomberg and Vanity Fair. It’s almost like if Trump isn’t there it won’t be any fun at all. What a sad state the leftist media finds itself in. Falling viewership and a total loss of credibility; their narrative is collapsing and their market has packed up and shipped off to find a job in Trump’s new America.
